Children’s Low-Cost Violin Lessons for Beginners (or Viola, Cello or String Bass)

Beginners Spring Classes Start on January 14, 2026.

Your child can learn to play violin (or viola, cello or string bass) through the low cost non-profit Corona Symphony Conservatory. The cost of lessons is only $18.33 per week for a 12 week semester. (Total = $220.00) We have classes to teach kids how to read music and play an instrument beginning at 6 years old. We also have classes for older siblings, advanced classes, and a sibling discount. Lessons are on Wednesdays, after school, at the Corona Symphony Conservatory which is located by the Corona Civic Auditorium at: 815 W. 6th Street, Suite 190, in Corona. Children need no prior musical experience. All they need is a violin (or viola or cello), a shoulder rest, rosin and a book called “A Tune A Day”, book #1.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR STUDENTS WITH EXPERIENCE: Students who are already intermediate or advanced on violin, viola, cello or bass are invited to participate in our more advanced classes instead. For those students with experience we offer youth orchestras and group lessons for students ages 5-18 who are not beginners. The cost is the same. Students with enough experience to be in orchestra will receive 2 hours of instruction (for the same low price – no extra cost for orchestra classes)

After school on Wednesdays. Three different level orchestras (Prelude Strings, Circle City Strings, Corona Youth Symphony)

A 12-week semester for only $220 – that’s less than $19 per week! (A free 13th week is provided for students performing with the orchestra.)
